Maundy Thursday marks the night of the Last Supper as told in the Bible. At the Last Supper, Jesus commanded that people should love one another, he then washed the feet of his disciples as an act of kindness.

While we won't be washing anyone's feet at the end of the service, we will be stripping the altar, which symbolizes the abandonment of Jesus by His disciples and the stripping of Jesus by the soldiers before His crucifixion.

Afterwards, attendees will leave in silence, after the Priest and Altar Guild recess. It is quite powerful and moving.
