Welcome to Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Lockhart, Texas
We extend a warm welcome to ALL visitors and invite you into our caring family.

Some Things You Might Have Questions About:

Do we have a nursery? Yes. The nursery opens just before the 9:30 Sunday school classes and closes just after the 10:30 worship service.

Do we have Sunday school for the kids? Yes. Sunday school classes are held for several age ranges. Classes begin at 9:30.

Can I take Communion at Emmanuel? Communion in the Episcopal Church is open to all baptized persons. You do not need to be a member of Emmanuel to receive communion with us. Our communion uses wine for the blood of Christ. If you would like to pass on the wine, cross your arms over your heart to let us know and receive the blessing.

How do I follow and understand the worship service? Services follow the Book of Common Prayer, found in the pew back. For convenience, our services each Sunday are printed in a program  which details the entire service including the hymns we sing.

How do I become a member at Emmanuel Episcopal Church? If you are already a member of another Episcopal church, you can transfer your membership to Emmanuel. If you are not currently a member of the Episcopal faith, or any faith for that matter, you can be baptized,  confirmed or received.  Confirmation classes are held beginning several weeks prior to a planned visit by the bishop. Please contact the church office or speak to our Rector if you have any questions.
